In efforts to promote more affordable, convenient and sustainable commuting options, VCU has partnered with GRTC to offer a subsidized transit pass program. All VCU faculty, staff and students are welcome to purchase a GRTC transit pass, which allows you to enjoy unlimited rides on GRTC's local bus service operations. Just show your VCUCard and transit pass when boarding, and you can ride any GRTC bus at any time! To view their schedules and routes, please visit the GRTC Website.
Purchasing a Transit Pass
VCU Parking and Transportation encourages students, faculty and staff to consider using GRTC when traveling around the Richmond Metro area. Both student and employee GRTC transit passes are sold throughout the year. Please note, while passes are available for purchase at any time, costs are NOT pro-rated.
Payment for student passes can be made via cash, credit card or money order. Faculty/staff must qualify for payroll deduction in order to purchase an employee transit pass. There are no returns, exchanges or refunds on transit passes.
