Students
Parking options vary by space availability and parking is sold via and on a first come, first served basis on the Monroe Park Campus and via a lottery system on the MCV Campus. Learn more on our Students page.
You can update your parking account online with the alternate vehicle information so that you can enter/exit with your license plate at https://vcu.t2hosted.com/Account/Portal. You can also use your VCUCard for access. Just swipe your card at the scanner when entering and exiting the parking deck. For assistance, call 828-7275 (PARK).
Students canceling their parking subscriptions must email parking@vcu.edu. Permits returned are pro-rated and refunded based on the date of return.
If you need assistance while in one of our gated parking facilities, please press the "i" button, located on the entrance/exit lane readers. You will be connected to our command center, where an associate will provide assistance.
Permits are virtual, so a physical permit is not mailed. You can manage your parking account online at https://vcu.t2hosted.com/Account/Portal.
Yes. Each semester, a limited number of off-campus housing permits are sold online on a first-come, first-served basis.
Racks have been installed throughout VCU’s campuses to accommodate the increasing number of students and faculty who commute to campus via bicycles, scooters and mopeds. These racks provide optimal parking for riders while restricting their travel in high-traffic pedestrian areas.
Scooter racks are available at the following locations:
- Southwest corner of Hibbs Hall near Park and Grove avenues
- 12th Street side of the Lyons Dental Building
- The parking lot behind Grant House
You can secure mopeds and scooters to the racks with a chain (or U-lock chain). Learn more about bike and scooter parking, here.

Housing permits are valid for 24 hours in your designated parking facility.

How to update your vehicle(s) online:
- Visit https://vcu.t2hosted.com/ and click "LOGIN" in the top right corner, then "VCU/VCUHS LOGIN."
- Follow VCU authentication protocol.
- Under "Permits," select "View Your Permits."
- Select your VCU parking permit and scroll down to "Associated Vehicles."
- Select "Add Vehicle to Permit" to enter a new vehicle. To remove a vehicle from your permit, click "Delete" and confirm.
Please note employees can only connect three vehicles to a permit; students may connect two vehicles.

If your address has changed, you would also need to change your address in your Banner account.
No. Vehicles are not allowed to be left in any of our parking facilities longer than 24 hours without pre-approval from management. This does not apply to vehicles with housing permits.
VCU Parking & Transportation is pleased to offer a Motorist Assistance Program for all VCU parking subscribers while parked in our Monroe Park or MCV Campus facilities. This program is FREE of charge for all VCU students, faculty and staff with a valid parking subscription. Services are performed by enforcement and safety officers. Bicycles should be registered with the VCU Police. Additional information regarding bike registration can be found at https://police.vcu.edu/services/bike-registration.
VCU Parking and Transportation maintains a separate lost and found inventory via the web application Crowdfind. The Crowdfind system is designed to make it easier for students, staff and visitors in the area to easily search electronic files for a lost item and file a claim for the item at any time from any device, once they are able to positively identify and confirm that the item belongs to them. If you believe you left an item on a RamRide/RamSafe bus, please visit the Lost & Found section for retrieval instructions.

VCU and VCU Health System faculty and staff can purchase parking in one of our on-campus or off-campus parking facilities. The parking process for new employees working for VCU and VCU Health is different. You can find information regarding purchasing employee parking for each employee group on our Faculty & Staff page. Parking options vary on the MCV Campus, and the process for securing parking is different from that of the Monroe Park Campus. Please contact parking@vcu.edu for further assistance. You can find additional information on our Faculty & Staff page.
Faculty and staff interested in purchasing parking on the Monroe Park Campus should first complete our online Employee Parking Application. Once the application has been completed, bring this application to either one of our parking offices on the Monroe Park Campus (1108-A West Broad Street) or the MCV Campus (659 N. 8th Street) along with your VCUCard. To be eligible for university parking privileges, you must be a current employee and have no outstanding VCU parking citations.
Parking assignments are made on a first-come, first-served basis. New MCV Campus employees can learn more about the process to secure parking on our Faculty & Staff page.
Full-time and part-time benefitted employees of VCU and VCU Health System (VCU Health) pay for parking semi-monthly through payroll deduction. However, if an employee expresses a need to pay for their parking separately, they can do so quarterly (three months in advance).
The following VCU employee classifications are required to pay in advance for parking permits.
- Adjunct Faculty
- Student Workers
- Work-study Students
- Hourly employees
- Affiliates (non-employees)

Reciprocal parking is allowed when space is available. This privilege allows a subscriber to park in a certain campus location outside of their assigned area. For your convenience, renewal payments can be made online. While we still accept payments in person and via mail, this payment option provides you with more convenience and greater control over your parking renewal options.
Online renewals can only be made for your existing parking facility. If you are interested in reviewing alternate parking options, please contact us at parking@vcu.edu or 828-PARK (7275) for available options.
As long as you have an active pre-paid employee parking subscription, you may renew your permit online. If your permit has already expired, you will not be able to renew online. Please note, subscribers with expired permits risk placement into an alternate facility.
The online renewal process is simple. To renew your permit online, follow these steps:
- First, log into your parking portal from parking.vcu.edu by clicking on the gold "Manage my Account" button in the top right corner, or visit https://vcu.t2hosted.com/Account/Portal directly.
- Select "Get Permits." Your renewal option(s)/term(s) will populate at the top of this page.
- Once your renewal option/timeframe has been selected, click "Purchase a permit."
- Click "Next," then review your purchase and new permit expiration date. Your email will populate below.
- Click "Pay Now," then "Next," and you will be forwarded to the payment page. Make sure you do not navigate away from this page if you would like to complete your transaction. If you would like to cancel at this time, click "Cancel this payment transaction" and begin the process again.
- After entering your payment information, click "Continue." You will receive your receipt, which will also be emailed.
Faculty/staff cancelling their parking subscriptions, voluntarily or through separation from the university, must return their permits and/or access cards to one of our parking customer service offices. If the parking permit/access card is not returned, a $25 fee may be assessed for both the permit and access card. Employee subscriptions are refunded based upon the date of return.

Yes. All vehicles parked in a VCU parking facility must be registered with VCU Parking and Transportation. To coordinate payment, please call us at 828-PARK (7275) or visit a parking office.
If your parking permit never arrived, please visit one of our parking offices to complete a "Lost Permit" form. Our representatives will then verify your address and/or re-send the permit via USPS. In the meantime, you can use your VCUCard for access if you park in a deck. If you park in a lot, you can request a temporary permit to be placed on your dashboard until your new permit arrives.
VCU Parking and Transportation maintains a separate lost and found inventory via the web application Crowdfind. Virginia Commonwealth University and the Commonwealth of Virginia do not assume responsibility for any items left on RamSafe or RamRide vehicles.
If you or your department would like to arrange parking for vehicles, please complete the Parking and Transportation Special Event Parking Request Form at least ten days in advance so that we can accommodate your parking needs.

- Number of vehicles needing parking
- Preferred parking facility
VCU departments or outside agencies looking to validate parking for our visitor decks (West Broad Street Deck, West Cary Street Deck, West Main Street Deck, and Eighth Street Deck) can purchase a QR code through our special events team.

Visitors

If you plan to attend an event on or near VCU's Monroe Park Campus, visit https://vcu.t2hosted.com/Account/Portal, select your event from the list, follow the prompts to purchase and print your parking permit. Bring that permit to the appropriate parking location, and we'll have a spot ready and waiting for you.

Visitors can use any of our visitor decks for parking. All of these decks are equipped with pay-on-foot stations. You will be required to take a ticket upon entering and insert this ticket into any of our pay stations. You will then proceed with payment upon leaving the deck. Machines are credit only.
You can also park in a VCU visitor parking lot and pay for your parking session from your phone, and be on your way.

If you lose your ticket, press the "Lost Ticket" button on the pay station. You will be charged the lost ticket fee rate.
If there is an issue in one of our lanes, please press the call button ("i" button) on the display/ticket dispenser to speak with a representative.
VCU Parking partners with Capital Garage for vehicle tows. Capital Garage is located at 3022 Jefferson Davis Highway, Richmond VA 23234. They can be reached at (804) 291-1779. In the event that they do not have your vehicle, please contact Motorist Assistance.
