Subscribers

During High School Graduations, West Broad Street Deck subscribers will be temporarily relocated, beginning on May 23, to the Henry Street Decks (East/West), West Cary Street Deck and Jefferson Street Deck, and reciprocal parking on the West Broad Street Deck will be temporarily disabled. A dedicated shuttle service will be available to assist subscribers during the relocation period. 

All subscribers are encouraged to allow ample time to travel to and from your parking facility.
 
If you are a VCU employee who is attending graduation ceremonies at the Siegel Center and will have a red, blue, green or yellow parking pass issued by area schools, please view the Attendee Information page.

Subscriber Parking:

To ensure subscribers can park safely and with minimal impacts, West Broad Street Deck subscribers will be temporarily relocated to alternate facilities beginning onMay 23; however, shuttle services will be provided. All subscribers utilizing alternate parking facilities will be able to enter the facility using their VCUCard and/or VCU hangtag permit.

In the event you are a subscriber requiring additional parking accommodations due to a disability, please contact VCU Parking and Transportation directly at 828-PARK (7275).

West Broad Street Deck Subscribers:

  • During the graduation period (May 23-25, June 10, and June 14-16), West Broad Street Deck subscribers will relocate to the West Cary Street Deck, located at 1101 West Cary Street, Jefferson Street Deck, located at 100 South Jefferson Street, or Henry Street Decks (East/West), located at 200-201 Henry Street.

*Note: Shuttle service not provided to/from Henry Street Decks. 

West Main Street Deck Subscribers:

  • West Main Street Deck subscribers are encouraged to park in the West Cary Street Deck, located at 1101 West Cary Street, Henry Street Decks (East/West), located at 200-201 N. Henry Street, or Jefferson Street Deck, located at 100 South Jefferson Street, on June 17.

*Note: Shuttle service not provided to/from Henry Street Decks.

UU/SP Lot Subscribers:

  • UU and SP Lot subscribers will be able to access the UU and SP Lots with a valid VCU permit from June 5 to June 15.

Bowe Street Deck Subscribers:

  • During the graduation period (May 23-25, June 10, and June 14-16), Bowe Street Deck subscribers may relocate to the West Cary Street Deck, located at 1101 West Cary Street, Jefferson Street Deck, located at 100 South Jefferson Street, or Henry Street Decks, if preferred, but are not required.

*Note: The first level of this facility will be reserved for graduation parking.

Reciprocal Parking:

  • Reciprocal parking will not be permitted in the West Broad Street Deck from May 23-25, June 10, and June 14-16.  MCV Campus subscribers who need to reciprocal park on the Monroe Park Campus may park on the West Cary Street Deck, Jefferson Street Deck, located at 100 South Jefferson Street, or Henry Street Decks (East/West), located at 200-201 N. Henry Street, during these times.

Subscriber Transportation:

  • To assist with relocation efforts for those parking subscribers affected, a dedicated shuttle service will operate from May 23-25, June 10, and June 14-16.  RamSafe shuttles will run in a continuous loop to and from the West Cary Street Deck, Jefferson Street Deck and on-campus locations during the hours of 6:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m.

Note: Four buses running during peak hours and two running throughout the day

Shuttles will travel to and from these five locations:

  • West Cary Street Deck entrance (across the street)
  • Intersection of Harrison and Franklin streets (near Pollak bldg.)
  • Intersection of Franklin and Laurel streets
  • Intersection of Shafer and Franklin streets

In the event subscribers will need transportation outside of the shuttle operating hours, a RamSafe ride request may be placed by calling 828-SAFE (7233) or by using the RamSafe mobile app.

RamRide/RamSafe:

  • RamSafe will operate as normal (from 5 p.m. to 8 a.m.); however, portions of campus surrounding the Siegel Center may not be serviced while graduation activities are taking place.

Sports Medicine Visitors:

  • Guests holding sports medicine appointments will be permitted to utilize the SP Lot; however, guests must notify the lot attendant of your appointment.

Helpful Tips:

  • Ensure your VCU parking permit is properly displayed on your rearview mirror at all times.
  • Use alternate routes when possible, and plan for delays. 
  • If you are attending a graduation ceremony, leave early to allow enough time for traffic and parking.
  • In the event you encounter any ingress/egress issues while in the parking deck, please press the “i” button, located on the entrance/exit lane readers, for assistance.
