Subscribers

During High School Graduations, West Broad Street Deck subscribers will be temporarily relocated, May 20-24, to the West Main St. Deck, West Cary Street Deck and Jefferson Street Deck, and reciprocal parking on the West Broad Street Deck will be temporarily disabled. A dedicated shuttle service will assist subscribers during the relocation period. 

All subscribers are encouraged to allow ample time to travel to and from your parking facility.
 
If you are a VCU employee attending graduation ceremonies at the Siegel Center and will have a red, blue, green or yellow parking pass issued by area schools, please view the Attendee Information page.

West Broad Street Deck Subscribers:

  • From May 20-24, West Broad Street Deck subscribers will be required to relocate to the West Cary Street Deck, located at 1101 West Cary Street, Jefferson Street Deck, located at 100 South Jefferson Street, or West Main St. Deck, located at 801 W. Main St.

*Note: Shuttle service is not provided to/from West Main St. Deck.

UU/SP Lot Subscribers:

  • UU and SP Lot subscribers can access the UU and SP Lots with a valid VCU permit.

Bowe Street Deck Subscribers:

  • During the graduation period (May 20-24), Bowe Street Deck subscribers may relocate to the West Cary Street Deck, located at 1101 West Cary Street, Jefferson Street Deck, located at 100 South Jefferson Street, or West Main St. Deck, if preferred, but are not required.

*Note: The first level of this facility will be reserved for graduation parking.

Reciprocal Parking:

  • Reciprocal parking will not be permitted in the West Broad Street Deck from May 20-24.  MCV Campus subscribers who need to reciprocal park on the Monroe Park Campus may park on the West Cary Street Deck, Jefferson Street Deck, located at 100 South Jefferson Street, or West Main St. Deck, located at 801 W. Main St.

Subscriber Transportation:

  • To assist with relocation efforts for those parking subscribers affected, a dedicated shuttle service will operate from May 20-24.  RamSafe shuttles will run in a continuous loop to and from the West Cary Street Deck, Jefferson Street Deck and on-campus locations during the hours of 6:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m.

Note: Four buses run during peak hours, and two will run throughout the day.

Shuttles will travel to and from these locations:

  • West Cary Street Deck entrance (across the street)
  • Intersection of Harrison and Franklin streets (near Pollak bldg.)
  • Intersection of Franklin and Laurel streets
  • Intersection of Shafer and Franklin streets

If subscribers need transportation outside the shuttle operating hours, a RamSafe ride request may be placed by calling 828-SAFE (7233) or using the Ride Pingo mobile app.

RamRide/RamSafe:

  • RamSafe will operate as usual (from 5 p.m. to 8 a.m.); however, portions of the campus surrounding the Siegel Center may not be serviced during graduation activities.

Sports Medicine Visitors:

  • Guests holding sports medicine appointments will be permitted to utilize the SP Lot; however, guests must notify the lot attendant of your appointment.

Helpful Tips:

  • Ensure your VCU parking permit is displayed correctly on your rearview mirror.
  • Use alternate routes when possible, and plan for delays. 
  • If you attend a graduation ceremony, leave early to allow enough time for traffic and parking.
  • If you encounter any ingress/egress issues while in the parking deck, please press the “i” button on the entrance/exit lane readers for assistance.
